Here are the products I’m currently using on my combination, acne prone skin. Some of them I absolutely love, and some of them I could do without.
This Dermalogica Clear Start Foaming Wash is not necessarily the holy grail cleanser, although it seems to be doing the job. I have combination skin and it seems to clear up my oily spots while not drying me out too much. That being said, I’m still on the market for a new cleanser. All in all, it’s just okay.
The Paula’s Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid is ah-maz-ing. It makes me glow with a dewy fresh finish. However, after using it for a few days it causes drying in certain parts of my face which is only exacerbated by makeup. Although it recommends using it once or even twice a day, I wouldn’t recommend using it more than four times a week.
I’m serious when I say that Dr. Jart’s Ceramidin Cream is life changing. Really, this stuff is gold. It moisturizes thoroughly (which I’ve had issues with before with oil free cleansers) without making my skin greasy. Love, love, love!
I bet you’ve already heard this, but the Mario Badescu Drying Lotion is a real winner. It does away with any white heads over night and significantly reduces red spots too. The only downside is that it really doesn’t travel well, after being shaken at all it needs a long time to settle back to its usable form.
After reading reviews, I had hoped that this Shiseido Eye Mask would be the answer to my dark circle prayers but unfortunately, although its great for under-eye puffiness, it does nothing for dark circles. The never ending search for a product to neutralize my dark circles continues.
